Always Question Everything
This is a post in response to the USA Gymnastic trials this week with Larry Nassar, the monster who took advantage of his power as a doctor.
This is a reminder to:
Always question everything.
Always question authority…question why…question the rules…question what you have been taught to believe...and say something if you feel your intuition screaming.
🧐
I am so saddened and disgusted by the abuse of power that continues to be brought to light 💡 ...but my disgust will never come close to the pain that the individuals have suffered under the watch of people who we deem “authority”. We are failing as a society when incidents like this continue to occur revealing a systemic virus that manifests in big organizations, social and societal institutions, and organized religion..or even in any situation where you feel like you can’t speak up to someone in authority.
☝🏽
What can you do? Speak up and listen if something is off. If something doesn’t feel right, say something. Don’t let your conscience fool you that you should stay quiet. We want to believe that a person with “authority” is always right. That’s what we were taught in school. Teach your kids. It’s never okay. We can do much much better than this. It is NEVER okay to sweep violence, inappropriate behavior, or any wrong doing like this under the rug.
